As a member of “STARS” in Head Start you will work in a local Head Start classroom where the children will look forward to your weekly visits.

You will make a significant contribution in the lives of young children as you help provide an early start on learning and healthy living.

As a dedicated volunteer, you’ll provide extra attention and support as you work to ensure that children will enter kindergarten on a level playing field with their peers. 

You believe that each child should be given the opportunity to reach his or her potential.

You know that your help with pre-literacy and literacy skills, and with each child’s developing social skills, values, self-awareness, and self-confidence will help them for years to come.
